Achievements of Mayaar 

We have won several university, district, and state-level drama, skit, mime, mimicry and street play competitions along with two world records.

Baapu Ka Swachata Sandesh

Mayaar Theatre Group hold the world record for the most number of Nukkad Natak (street play) performances. To commemorate the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Mayaar Group of Bhopal School of Social Sciences, in association with Bhopal Municipal Corporation, performed 151 street plays in a single day for continuous 22 hours and 56 minutes on 4th March 2019. The title of the act was "Bapu Ka Swachata Sandesh," an awareness campaign on the importance of cleanliness. This act created a new world record for performing the most number of street plays.

Katha-E-Hind

Mayaar Theatre Group also holds the world record for the longest drama performance. "Katha-E-Hind" drama was performed from 29-02-2020 to 2-03-2020 at Bhopal School of Social Sciences by a team of 60 artists. The script covered the history of India, starting from the Indus Valley Civilization and ending with the independence of India. The total time performed was 48 hours, 29 minutes, and 06 seconds, starting from 12:47 P.M. on 29-02-2020 and concluding at 1:16 P.M. on 02-03-2020. This act created a new world record for the longest drama performance.

Competitions Won

Mayaar Theatre Group has won several prestigious competitions, including the NIFT Street Play Competition, Abhisharan Competition, and the Nagar Nigam Street Play Competition for three consecutive years. These achievements reflect the group's dedication, skill, and mastery over their art and performances.
 

Government and NGO's Collaboration

Mayaar Theatre Group has collaborated with several prominent government organizations, including Nagar Nigam Bhopal, Bhopal Traffic Police, Bhopal IT Cell Hub, Nodal Child Line, Animals with Humanities, Aarambh Society, and the Directorate of Women and Child Welfare, among others. These partnerships have been aimed at creating a positive societal impact through the powerful medium of theatre arts. We remain open to future collaborations that align with our mission to foster social change.
